All
four probe types are available with a remote display
so that you can see the status of your battery without
opening the hood.
The
remote displays are usually placed on either the tray
that holds the battery or on the panel of the vehicle
itself.
When used on the tray the assembly has usually a three
foot cable running from the sending unit to the remote.
The twisted wire pair is usually yellow/black in color.
The installer drills the prescribed hole in the tray
and inserts the remote LED which snaps in place.
On vehicle panel mounts the wire is usually six foot
length, with a one foot length coming out of the LED
display, with bullet connectors on the ends of the wires
and a five foot cable from the sending unit which is
cut to fit the installation and then the bullet connectors
are crimped on. We include the two connectors. On some
installations we have provided wires as long as ten
feet. We always ask the customer on the length.
Batteries with Single-Point Watering Systems quite often
have a remote display. We also make them for industrial
batteries and golf cart batteries.
