Battery Type Used: Group 24 & Group 27

The Type 6B238MR is a probe specifically designed to be mounted on one of the cell covers of either Group 24 or Group 27 Marine batteries.

The probe shaft length is 2-3/8" long and will operate a green LED monitor as long as the acid level is at least ½"

above the plates in either battery.

The cell cover preferred is the one next to the battery negative post and the installed probe has a 5" length of black wire and a 10" red wire to prevent incorrect cell cover selection.

A voltage regulator in the probe permits 12vdc operation and 5/16" diameter ring terminals are provided for battery connection.

To install this probe it is only necessary to drill a single 1/8" diameter hole through the center vent cap in the cover, insert the probe and mount it to the cover using the stainless screw.

Hydro-Eye also provides Type 6B probes already mounted in cell covers for Group 24 and Group 27 batteries.
