cell, the probe inserted and held to the cover
by a stainless screw. A small neoprene O ring
around the probe shaft seals the opening, preventing
electrolyte leakage.
This
probe is a big improvement over the EEP-2 and
other probes that require large holes to be
drilled to accommodate the grommets that are
used for sealing.
The
probe has a single bright green LED to show
battery condition and acceptable acid level.
A black wire with stainless screw is provided
to connect to the outboard inter-cell strap
of the adjacent cell in the direction of the
battery negative post , and a red one for connecting
to the outboard strap of the cell on the opposite
side.
The
length of the probe shaft is nominally 2",
but other lengths can be provided.
