Type 2A: Monitor - Alarm - Alert - Combo

Battery Type Used: Industrial

The Type 2A218AT is a new probe for 2005. It has a single Blue LED which flashes when the probe is no longer immersed in battery acid. Like all our probes, the electronics is totally encapsulated in epoxy which is immune to battery acid.

Iit has two wire connections, a black

wire going to the inter-cell strap as on the Monitor and also a red wire connecting to the input strap on the adjacent cell on the side opposite. There is approximately 6vdc between the two wires. Current drain when the acid level up is fine and the LED is off, is very low.

The flashing Blue LED provides an Alert to the operator that next time around the battery should be charged and then distilled water added. During charging, the electrolyte heats up and expands, therefore the water should be added afterwards to prevent overfill.

Probe length is 2-1/8"
